YAY!! MERRY CHRISTMAS ~ IT'S A BABY......GIRL!!!!!! ♥
Words cannot express the feelings of happines, disbelief (ha!), and sheer JOY I am feeling right now. I think I would have felt the same for another boy...but I can't help but feel like I've actually won the free trip to Disney World or something. This is crazy...and I'm just so thankful for the chance to be a mama to a little girl. I was beginning to think that boys were better for our family or something :) Feeling very thankful right now and obviously on cloud 9!! I do not take the responsibility of raising a little girl lightly but even as the reality of that presses on my heart the sheer excitement and joy keeps bubbling up and over out of my heart. I love my little boys dearly and cherish them so much. I woke up this morning thinking about opening that box tonight and imagining either way and honestly I was so happy in my heart w/ either scenario...what a huge, huge blessing babies are no matter what the sex. I actually got a little sad thinking of having another boy...not because I wanted a girl but because I felt sad for our sweet little J...he is my little "baby boy"...my snuggler, my "baby" more out of all three by *far* as the third boy and I was a little sad to think of giving that up and moving on with another boy if it was another boy. I know that's probably dumb and silly sounding but it was true, my heart hoped for a girl for that reason, not the dresses and bows etc. I think J is just so little to me still and I love him at this age...I know that in reality he will continue to grow and move on from rocking every night and snuggling eventually etc. but all I can live in is the here and now if that makes sense. I guess I sort of passed all that bow and dress craziness having all these boys! :) Now that we know and it IS a little girl, though, and my mind is allowed to wander to those things, it is fun to think about and daydream of girlie things. :)) The thing I look forward most to, though, is teaching her of the Lord and His ways as a little girl and then as she blossoms into a young lady and then woman and protecting her and guiding her throughout her life. I dream of giving her advice when she asks (and when she doesn't lol!), helping her understand what a gift her purity is, and also what a beautiful and wonderful gift being a woman and daughter of God is etc. WOW, what a wonderful, wonderful thing!!
Waiting until Christmas (Eve LOL) was definitely worth every bit of the wait!! I even found myself a little sad that the time was over but realized I was kidding myself thinking I might want to wait all the way to the end HA! :)) I wrote our sweet little one a "before we knew" letter to capture what I was feeling before I knew and one after we found out - what a neat experience and something neat for her book. :)) It's funny b/c we have her name all picked out and I was like if you are a girl your name is such and such, if you are a boy you will be (one of five) choices LOL!! Phew, that made it so much easier! :) What a beautiful, wonderful, and amazing Christmas present! :))
And now this Christmas morning (I actually wrote this post last night but the video took 8 years to load LOL) I am actually a little sad to *not* have another little baby boy!!! So funny isn't it!? I guess I just really, really love my little boys too ~ there is just something sooooo special and amazing about being a mama to my sweet princes. :))
I hope you are all having an amazing Christmas w/ your friends and loved ones. Until next time! xoxox ~RSR
