So....have you ever gone and said something that was on your mind (after you said, "I probably shouldn't say this", or "knock on wood"...)? and thought...surely it won't come true...but what if it does??? Well....tonight we were on the bike trail and Ryan was talking about his first fishing lesson with Caleb after supper (he got a scooby doo fishing pole :) and how his attention span was short etc....I commented on how kids have a minute for every year of their age (at least this is what I learned...um...somewhere) and then I added "well at least they are good riders for long bike rides.." and then quickly realized what I was saying. Yup you guessed it. Caleb was crying about 10 minutes later and continued crying/whining/etc. for about a half hour. THEN we turned around to go home and after riding up this GI-NORMOUS long hill got to ride back down it again. I in my "mommy paranoia" said to Ryan "be careful - it would be really bad if something came off of the bike trailer etc. and the wheels broke or something..." yah. Ryan was like "WHY ARE YOU SAYING THAT!!?!" and I was like WELL...it COULD happen!! We were going SUPER fast!!! and um..yes you guessed it. Something came lose and broke on the wheel/hub/thingie as we heard this weird noise and then quickly noticed the wheel wobbling. The good news is that we were already down the big hill safely and not that far from home. Praise God for allowing us to get home safely after checking it out and realizing that we needed to be extra careful/slow down etc. We made it home okay and the wheel stayed on (although it wobbled) and everyone was alright and TIRED...ready for baths and bed. And yes, please come and visit and ride bikes with us!! The trails are awesome!!!
Okay, here are some pics from my walk with the boys the other morning. We went to the "artwork park" for Benjamin's 9 mth pics. There is no playground at this park, just a path around it and in it and artwork bolted down every so often to make your walk more pleasant. It also borders the loverly Fox River. Fun! :) Hope you're having a great day! Also good news ladies! I washed the floors the other day and my triceps didn't hurt!!! (BUT...that could also mean one of two things a. I am getting stronger :) b. the floors didn't get washed very well. ) ha ha!!

Great photos!!
Wow --- that's quite the experience with the bikes. Too funny about Caleb fussing, tho.
We just watched one of our video tapes of the kids when David was younger (about 4-5) and he looks so much like Caleb -- and even sounds like him....
