Also from Caleb's day yesterday.
Caleb: "Mommy please put a diapie on me... I don't want to wear underwears."
Me: "No Caleb you can't have a diaper on right now, you are a big boy and need to wear your Cars underwears."
Caleb: "But Mom, am I three??"
Me: "No, you're not three yet, but we're practicing for when you are three and won't be wearing diapers anymore :)"
Caleb: "But Mom...I'm JUST TWO....PLEASE put a diapie on me, PLEASE..."
So...they CAN reason at two years old!!! Whoever said two year olds can't reason never had a two year old!! Ha ha :) We have been preparing Caleb for the big PT...the "official" Potty Training date for a while now. We decided to go full steam ahead, no more diapers no matter where we are going or what we are doing during the day when he turns THREE! He is about 95% potty trained and can physically do it on the potty etc. Until TODAY he could never "tell" us he had to go or connect that he had to go to the potty himself or tell us so we could take him and would just have accidents in his pants. (Thank goodness for a house with ALL hardwood flooring!) So.....contrary to what other mothers around the world might think I should have done, I just took a BREAK... and it felt pretty good to not have to scrub poopie underwears etc...and then there was today!! Caleb had a breakthrough and ran in the kitchen screaming "Mommy Mommy I have to go PEE-PEEE!!! So we RAN and he did!!! YAY!! Small steps small steps. :)
Well, we are doing well here, enjoying the great weather and great living location. We have been on a couple of bikerides...Ryan keeps telling the boys that they are going to "get Mommy in shape"... :) Which is so great b/c I like excercising with other people. I don't even think about excercise when I am biking with them (okay I do on the hills when I am huffing and puffing!! :) but mostly it's just so beautiful and green and breezy and...well okay you get my point :)
So this morning on the scale it said I lost 5 lbs in like 5 days. I don't usually go by the scale and I know that it's probably mostly water weight as in I am not drinking enough water so when I do I'll weigh 3 more lbs...but....WHO CARES?!?!?! WAHOO!! It makes my mind feel good that the scale said that. I know if I keep working at it my clothes will agree too :)
Benjamin...he's signing "all done" and would rather grunt "more" and "mmmm"....so that's good. He's close to walking I think as he is free standing and tried to stand up from kneeling the other day.
Well, better sign off. I get in trouble when they are too long. (And I suppose this is now officially too long.) HOpe everyone's well and thanks for stopping by!

Here's a picture of Ryan and the boys on the dock in our backyard the other night....they are feeding the ducks...and Caleb. (He likes to eat the bread too. :)

I do remember those potty training days and don't wish them back! But, it is sort of like child-birth, after it is all said and done, you forget most of the pain.
Amen! I never looked forward to those dayss either, but was really glad when they were done.
Can I go bike riding with you guys? I will say, Ryan gets you going and is good at keeping you going and enjoying it. I rode with him a couple of times, and he got me going farther that I thought I could go. I need him again, maybe I'd get this weight off. I agree, it is more fun when riding with someone besides the dog (who I'm always afraid will get in a fight with the neighbor's dog/cat.) :)

Of course Grandma! You can bike with us anytime! We'll be here all summer :)
Love You!
