March was "here" and is almost gone already!! The time is flying by!! We have had lots of fun here in the Sieb home almost finished with the decorating, getting settled, and finding what routines work etc. It feels good because now I have more time to play and work with the boys. We have been reading, making puzzles, singing, dancing, cutting, coloring, gluing, using glitter, and best of all..painting!! Yep!! I dug out my 11 year old washable paints!! Yes, you read right, I have had these paints since my SENIOR year in high school (in addition to my probably 75 bottles of reg. craft paint from over the years). I bought them for a project I had for some class...I interpreted Vivaldi's Spring (you know, the three movements or something) with my versions of paintings. It was pretty fun :) ANyway, I've had these paints and have used them off and on since...they're still good! The boys' faces lit up when I brought these up from storage (to stay :) and we had a blast. B preferred painting with a brush (at 19 mths old) to finger painting and Caleb def. preferred a brush. (???) Aren't kids supposed to want to make a mess and get paint in every nook and cranny? Oh well, not mine - which doesn't bother me one bit! ;) Actually that is why it took me this long to even get the paints out. As I learned it was no big deal and they had so much fun. It is great having all my "stuff" b/c I have a craft cabinet and Caleb is doing 1-2 "projects" per day sometimes even if it's just cutting something or a picture out etc.. Fun times around here :)
Hmm...what else? Oh yes! We signed C up for AWANA this year and he is catching the last 7 weeks of the year and really likes it! It is at our church on Wednesday nights and is about 2 hours long. He gets to wear this neat little vest and has a special bag and book. I have really enjoyed watching him learn (those mental gears just turning and turning!) and also teaching him more in depth about the Good News of Jesus Christ...what a blessing. To be able to explain to my own son why Jesus died for our sins...and how we can get to heaven (trusting in Jesus and asking him for forgiveness for our sins and to be our Savior) is just such a sweet sweet privilege. One day I was working in the kitchen while he was playing and listening to his Bible songs CD and the song about the Gospel train came on - he asked if he could ride the train to heaven and about the ticket etc...and I explained to him that Jesus paid our ticket, that we can't buy our own ticket but have a choice of whether or not we want to accept Jesus' free gift etc...it was really neat. We talked about how Ryan and I will be going to Heaven and he said he wanted to go with us (and to take his BearBears ;) . It was surely an amazing conversation...one I was glad to be having!! All especially during this time of Easter and renewal...making connections between the renewal of the Earth at springtime, new life, the Resurrection of Jesus (coming back to life like the leaves and flowers etc)....well you get the picture...what a sweet time!! Praise God!!
Benjamin is beginning to be a match for C strength wise. C is getting a taste of humble pie. It's been interesting here refereeing some of the power struggles that go on and trying to teach them to love one another, be gentle, and kind hearted towards one another. I know there will be lots of wrestling etc..that's just "boy normal" but it's the heart attitude we are working on. Whew! This parenting thing is hard!!!
Other than that, we are all well (B is on his second dose of pink eye medicine!! not contagious anymore again) Wish I knew where he was getting it! Have been laundering his linens every night this time. We are blessed, mostly healthy, loved, and growing. (And B, C, and I are all okay after our fall the other day. B woke up happy the next morning so I was praising God for that! Not another peep about his legs etc. My knee on the other hand is another story, but it is finally feeling better (not so stiff anymore and I can walk pretty well) today (Sat.) My friend Lacey suggested a "gentle lead" leash. Hmm...maybe we'll have to try that :) Today I am happy to say I learned ohhh....maybe 1% of my new photo editing program. (Yippee!!!) Learning Photoshop is not an easy feat with now two boys to mother :) plus all the other wonderful things of life happening. Wish I got it 2 1/2 years ago when I started out....oh well...shoulda, coulda woulda. :) 1% down....infinity % to go! :) Here are a couple of pics as R told me it was time to update the blog! :)

Being a teacher and keeping all the materials and supplies I invested in stored all these years sure has come in handy!!! I kept telling R they would be useful one day as he has moved them from house to house for me... ;)
Cautiously touching the paint...

I like your new look. It looks like the boys are having fun! :) They are growing up so fast! I am thrilled to be home on spring break this week. I have actually done a lot of scrap booking today which is very unusual, I decided to that instead of "important" jobs like laundry, cooking, organizing, etc......:)

My boys love painting too! I think that it is sort of an outlet for their little boy instinct to get dirty. :)
