JD Green and Yellow..

At the risk of embarrasing myself - I thought I'd post a preview of the boys' room for you all to see ;) Ryan did such a great job painting the whole house with various people helping!! THank you honey!!! Please note that the real curtains are on order (thanks Grandma S!!!) The fabric was bought about a month ago and matches the pillow that's on Caleb's bed in the corner up by the headboard. (It's been discontinued so I'm thankful I found it!). The chair rails, trim, and wall hangings are yet to be hung around the whole house too. Hey, Rome wasn't built in a day right? :) Below you will find Caleb in the library/toy corner of their room right by their roomy closet :) I love walking in there and catching him laying on the farm rug "reading" a book :)) Benjamin loves to play in there too, but mostly I find him on Caleb's bed. He really likes climbing up the little step stool that A. Linda made for Caleb's 2nd birthday. He has really been loading up trucks/semis lately and "driving" them around while laying on the floor. Snuggling up for a good book is one of his favorite things to do too. Well, I hope post a little more regularly on this blog so as to document our lives apart from my photog. business a little more as we get settled in. I hope you are all having a great night!

Rosie,
This sounds so much like David as a 3yr old. David would have loved to have a room like this (course, I am not as talened in decor as you -- and wouldn't have thought -- or been brave enough --to paint the walls yellow and green) He also spent alot of his time driving his cars on roads. Phil would buy different colored masking tape and make 'roads' on the basement carpet. Together, he and the boys created all types of farms, towns, highways, and garages down there. When they got tired of it or wanted to change it up, they just pulled up the tape and started over.

Linda!! That's ingenious! I'll have to let Ryan know about that! He has plans brewing that involve plywood and paint...table like things....to set farms up on etc. I really like the paint idea!! It's too bad David and Caleb aren't the same age :(
