Food Grade Plaster of Paris...
So there I was Tuesday night and in need of treats to bring to Wednesday morning Bible study. What to do when I don't even have a muffin tin to bake the muffin mix I have in the cabinet? Call Ryan and ask him to bring some treats from the grocery store on his way home! (I didn't feel like baking anyways...)So...my knight in shining armor comes home with the instructed (well sort of...he at least bought the brand I asked him to :-) goodies and then one box of his own choice. TWINKIES. We both commented on how we hadn't had them in YEARS and how we knew they were horrible for us etc. etc. etc.. but what the heck? Why not have one for good ol' times sake? So I eat mine and it's a little gross I guess and Ryan revels in his. Not another thought about it until.....the next morning I wake up and my stomach doesn't feel quite right...sort of like a rock (a heavy rock) has settled down in the pit of it. I honestly thought nothing of it until....on the way to Bible study with both boys buckled up in the car with me I turn the radio up when a story on TWINKIES comes on. And it's not good my friends. I listened as the newslady talked about the "dainty delicate treat" and how there are 39 ingredients or something and that they are mostly if not all chemicals....(this is not going well so far)...and how they have taken out any ingredient that would spoil to lengthen shelf life...you know like eggs, milk, butter....(ha!) and that actually one of the ingredients is FOOD GRADIENT PLASTER OF PARIS....so there it was...my reason to NEVER eat a twinky again as long as live...(unless someone paid me good money to do it I suppose)..Because you always have Ryan's argument of "Just one is not going to kill you, Honey." And so there you have it...not the exciting, the darn cute, or even the boring happenings of our household...but the just plain wierd and even gross! The icing on the cake of this whole story is that Ryan thought that Caleb should REALLY be given the opportunity to try his first food with food gradient plaster of paris in it (he actually said twinky, I said that other stuff) and after a couple of minutes of protest I finally gave in and figured your right, one won't kill him (and then I'll throw the rest away when you're not home!) oops, did I think that??? So the following picture is of Caleb LOVING his first twinky. My prayer is Lord, please don't let him remember this moment and develop a long term love for this unhealthy and truly disgusting food. Am I wrong here? Have a great day! (p.s. I am not against sweets if Caleb finishes his meal...just maybe now I'll stick to ones that have real ingredients???!!!)

Oh you poor thing...:-) Just thinking of you eating a whole box made my mouth go sour just now! Maybe it's b/c I like chocolate better? I can probably eat a whole or half box of hohos or those little chocolate cupcake ones! (Which are probably just as bad for me!):-)
Rosie....:-)
